AI phone receptionist for small businesses

The AI receptionist that answers the barber shop phone

You are halfway through a fade and the phone rings: the man in the chair comes first. The assistant answers, gives the wait and puts the appointment in.

The AI receptionist that answers the barber shop phone

A barber shop lives on regulars and on people who walk past the window. Callers want two things: whether there is room today and how long the wait is. The assistant answers around the clock, knows your services and your barbers' shifts, offers a free slot and messages you on WhatsApp without you taking a hand off the clippers.

What happens today

  • Halfway through a fade you cannot put the clippers down to pick up.
  • On Saturday the phone rings while there is already a queue at the door.
  • Half the calls only ask how long the wait is, and nobody answers them.
  • Whoever cannot get through walks into the barber shop down the street.
Listen

What the assistant says on the phone

Natural voice, handles interruptions, one question at a time. It always says it is a virtual assistant, as the law requires. If the request is complicated, it transfers the call to you or takes a message.

What changes with Rispondly

Counts the minutes

Every service has its own length: cut, fade, beard, line up. The assistant adds the times and offers only slots that genuinely fit the day.

One barber per booking

If two or three of you work the floor, each appointment goes to the right person and nobody ends up with two clients at the same hour.

Answers the walk ins

Wait, price of a cut, whether booking is needed: people calling from the street get an answer even while the clippers are in your hand.

The chair comes first

Nobody in the chair waits for you to finish a call: the appointment reaches your WhatsApp and you read it between one client and the next.

Frequently asked questions

We work without appointments, do we still need this?
Yes. The assistant can stick to the estimated wait and the opening hours, taking no bookings at all, or hold places only in the windows you name. How much room walk ins keep is your call.
How does it know how long the wait is?
From your diary and from the durations you give us. If you would rather not quote a wait, it says the shop works in turn and offers the first free time of the day.
Can a regular always get the same barber?
Yes. If the caller asks for one person, the assistant looks at that barber's free times and, when there are none, offers the first slot with a colleague.
